_______ DID YOU KNOW? SHIFT HAPPENS
I like this four minute Mash-Up. Nice drums. They remind me of Paul Simon's "Live in Central Park" concert.
As of 11/11/08, there were 192 mashups listed when you search for "Did you Know Shift Happens" on You Tube. In August 2006, Karl Fisch, a teacher from Arapahoe High School in Colorado, presented the original data during a faculty meeting. He wanted to "Start a Conversation." This conversation was translated into Internet Protocol (IP), and went viral in February 2007. This is a prime example of a "digital dialog not restricted by space or time" (cc). Somewhere between 15 Million and One Billion people have been exposed to this information. It has now been translated into 22 different languages. An important message, and I'm thrilled it's contagious--dare I say viral? We live in exponential times.
